Thank you for your patience as we have worked with the Lakeland Junior Track & Field League to figure out how to resume the Chatham Recreation Track & Field program this Spring.
As a league, there is limited availability for track space and visiting team restrictions are an issue. Collectively, the goal is to get our kids outside and running. Therefore, our program will look very different this year and we need your cooperation to have it run smoothly.
Registration numbers will be limited this season for each grades’ grouping (3/4, 5/6, 7/8). This year we will run strictly by grade and not age/birth date.
A Wait List will be formed per level once the max number is reached.
Registration will begin Monday, March 22nd on Community Pass.
The registration fee will be $95.
There will be (2) two practices a week on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. at Cougar Field (weather permitting). While we understand the time is later than usual, we cannot at this time promise an earlier time. If on a given day, we are able to move the time up and hour or so the participants will be notified – there are no promises. Space is at a premium.
Practices will be divided into three groups by grade, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8. Families will need to RSVP regarding their practice attendance and provide a COVID-19 Daily Medical Form before each practice. We need full compliance for this and unfortunately will have to turn away those away who have not completed this. They will not be permitted to stay at the complex.
We will have one or two Chatham-only meets this year. They will likely occur in May and/or June.
The program will run from April 20th through June 10th.
Track and Field will use a new website to reserve practice times and to access the COVID-19 Daily Medical Form. Please access this Track and Field site www.ChathamRecRunners.com for information.
We look forward to a fun and active Spring season!
